Spring vs. Winter

The sunshine these days is incredible. 

Everyone is outside, smiling and doing fun things!

It's the most wonderful time of the year.

(like Christmas for a lot of people, but it's spring for me!) 

It's my favourite. 

The colour challenge is going well - minus Monday when I was too sick to get dressed at all. 

And my pictures are horrid, but I'll still do a recap next week.

valentines day.

I am not one to fuss over Valentine's day. 


I don't agree with asking people (mainly men) to fork out all this money for expensive flowers, jewellery and chocolates because the calendar (or a business) says so. 


I do, however, agree with celebrating love. I am blessed to have a lot of people around me who I love and am lucky to have a pretty great guy to share it all with. 


So instead of opting for spending money - we are going to make one of our favourite meals and really enjoy just being us...together...in our comfy pants...eating some favourite foods.
That to me...is absolute happiness.

4years.

after all the running around over the holidays, i am craving some down time around the house. my day off has started brilliantly ~ a sleep in, a run with the dog and brunch with a friend equals a good start.

and to continue this wonderful day/weekend ... matty and i are going to celebrate our (unofficial) 4 year anniversary. we dont really have a specific date. it took us a while to figure out whether we were actually going to give this a real shot or not.

but its a good excuse to spend some time together and go out for dinner for a delicious steak! 


not to gush too much - but matty is one of the best people i know. he is genuine, kind and has taught me so much about unconditional love. i am one lucky girl to have him in my life.
